Donating to Build a Mosque in Gaza: Al-Qarara Project in Khan Younis

"Building a temporary mosque for displaced families in Khan Younis, Gaza - Gaza 48 Charity Project."

In the heart of suffering, amidst the rubble and displacement in Gaza, building the houses of Allah remains a powerful message of faith. Donating to build a mosque in Gaza is not just a charitable act—it is a lifeline for displaced families, a sanctuary for the broken-hearted, and a symbol of resilience that never fades.

Why Donate to Build a Mosque in Gaza Today?

Gaza is enduring an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. Thousands of displaced families in camps have been deprived of basic necessities, including a safe place to pray. Establishing a prayer hall (Musalla) in these areas provides:

  • Spiritual Stability: A sanctuary for prayer and peace amidst the chaos of war.
  • Sadaqah Jariyah: A continuous charity that earns you rewards with every prayer performed.
  • Community Support: A gathering point for displaced families to support one another.
  • Preserving Identity: Keeping the call to prayer (Adhan) alive in the most difficult circumstances.

Al-Qarara Mosque Project – Khan Younis (Al-Ihsan Camp)

Located between Khan Younis and Deir Al-Balah, Al-Ihsan Displacement Camp is home to more than 160 families living in makeshift tents. These families—including children and the elderly—lack a dedicated place for worship, especially with the holy month of Ramadan approaching.

The Gaza 48 Charity Team has launched this urgent project to establish the Al-Qarara Mosque to serve as:

  1. A dedicated house of worship for daily and Friday prayers.
  2. A center for Quran recitation and spiritual gatherings.
  3. A source of hope and psychological comfort for the camp’s residents.

Project Details & Costs

To ensure the mosque is functional and sustainable under current conditions, the project includes:

  • Structure: 3 agricultural arches with durable wooden lining and protective nylon.
  • Essentials: High-quality prayer carpets and a loudspeaker system for the Adhan.
  • Sustainability: A complete Solar Power System (panels, batteries, and lighting) to ensure light during power cuts.
  • Sanitation: A fully equipped ablution (Wudu) area and restroom.

Total Estimated Cost: Approximately 25,000 ILS.

How You Can Help:

  • Full Sponsorship: Fund the entire construction of the mosque.
  • Partial Donation: Contribute any amount toward the building materials.
  • In-Kind Support: Sponsoring specific components like solar panels or carpets.

The Virtue of Building a Mosque in Palestine

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

Imagine the reward of building a mosque for those who are marginalized and besieged. It is a double reward—for building a house of Allah and for supporting the steadfast people of Gaza.
